Decide who fits within your target audience

In a recruitment screener you determine which interfaces the respondents should have with the target group of the product. Depending on the type of product you want to test, there are also considerable differences in the type of respondent you want to recruit.

In general, the following selection criteria are used to create respondent profiles:

  • Demographic characteristics (e.g. age, gender and marital status)
  • Geographical features (e.g. region and place of residence)
  • Socio-economic features (e.g. level of education, income, occupation)
  • Psychographic characteristics (e.g. interests, lifestyle and personality)
  • Behavioral criteria (e.g. experienced internet user, shop online regularly, etc.)

For best results, many UX researchers recommend looking at behavioral criteria in particular.

Usability testing allows companies to see their own website, app or prototype through the eyes of the end user.

During a usability test, users perform a number of tasks (e.g. placing an order or finding a contact number). During the test, the tester thinks aloud and gives feedback where necessary.

The ultimate aim of usability testing is to identify usability issues so that business can create websites and apps that people enjoy to use.

After you have been admitted to the User Sense respondent pool, you can perform paid usability tests.

If you choose to complete the questionnaire during the registration procedure, you will be paid 15 euro per test. If you choose not to complete the questionnaire, you will receive 10 euro per test.

On average, a usability test takes 20 minutes to complete.

The number of tests to which you are invited is highly dependent on the type of respondents our clients are looking for. You can increase your chances of getting invited for usability tests by filling out the questionnaire in the registration process.

To get started as a tester at User Sense you will need a desktop, laptop or mobile phone with Android or IOS. It is important that you are clearly visible and speak clearly during the usability tests.

By conducting usability tests as a tester, you provide companies with insight into how users use their products. By doing so, it becomes clear what works, what does not work and how websites and apps need to be adjusted in order to serve their audience better.

Once you have completed the registration procedure and have been admitted to the User Sense respondent pool, you can perform paid usability tests.
